The coldstream guards were formed around a hundred and twenty years before the Napoleonic wars.
The Guards have about 25 buttons on their uniforms.

Coldstream Guards a regiment from London who came to noteriety in the Nepolianic War. I am not really sure about buttons but they had a lot lets say 20.

Think it's eight in four sets of two, coldstream guard's buttons are always in sets of two.

!´m not sure but I do know that Each guards regiment have their buttons set in different groups of two to five or six, maybe 42 or is that the meaning of life. That help?
