For the same reasons as most any question that is of a controversial nature.

When you touch on something that people are passionate about, you'll get less responses from coherent people with a genuine considered opinion, and more responses from fanatics who just want to spout their opinions.

It works the same if you bring up gun control in the USA, or just go read the first page of responses to the Bono question *rolling my eyes*

Also, "God questions" are dealing with people's faith. Faith by its very nature and definition is unprovable, so the only way people can prove their point is by being more adamant about it.

Because from the very moment that the Serpent in the garden prodded Eve to eat of the fruit of the tree to give her KNOWLEDGE Satan has wanted nothing from us but for humanity to think for itself, to become more than what we are, to become "as gods" inasmuch as that is possible. God wants us to remain obedient sheep, to be "as little children," to not question, to have "faith" which means to accept blindly. Thus, Christians never develop thinking skills. They don't have to. They are discouraged from doing so in matters of spirituality. Intellect is the primary concern of the Satanist. It is the most important tool in the quest for self-discovery and cultivation.

Please note I find the entire bible, including the fable noted above, and even the concept of Satan as mere metaphor.

actual, it doesn't say that and no one is in "hell" today. The be conscious used contained in the bible maximum frequently is "sheol" which distinctive human beings confuse with the lake of fireplace also stated contained in the bible. "Sheol" purely translates to "grave" and became translated into the Greek/Roman "Hades". contained in the Greek/Roman Pagan lore Hades isn't the position of torment, it truly is purely the underworld and the call of their deity that guidelines that underworld. Tartarus is the call of their position of torment, so Hades is unquestionably the perfect translation (all issues considered) for the Hebrew be conscious "Sheol". contained in the e book of Revelations it says that "sheol" will be tossed into the lake of fireplace after judgment, so that they are for sure 2 distinct issues. So the position does that go away devil now? good question. there is no agency answer on that in spite of the indisputable fact that the bible does say that he travels between earth and heaven lengthy after Adam and Eve were evicted from the backyard of Eden. So apparently he's purely out and about, doing in spite of it truly is Judaic opposing angels do before the circumstances of Revelation.
