sry that was a bit confusing. what i mean to say is if tranquillo is pronounced with the two L's making a Y sound, like in the spanish alphabet...or do you just sound the L's out like a normal L?

it is pronounces like the L sound ... and it is spelled tranquilo ... not with double L nor with its sound..

Not Spanish way, it's Italian Switzerland. No "y"!
The right pronounce is to force on "l", doubling it as in "Kill".
Tranquillo means "quiet".

It is a spanish word, why NOT pronounce it in that manner? as in tranquiyo

no tranquillo means calm not quiet...quiet is silenzioso.....however it is pronounced with double "l" in Italian, not like in spanish "y"
