Ekkythump aka Ecky-Thump or Eckythump is a northern England exclamation, like , "Oh Deary me" you would say "Oh ekkythump".

There was a whole episode about Ekkythump in the tv show the Goodies, episode 7 of Series 5 of The Goodies, entitled "Kung Fu Capers" where they portrayed it as a kind of martial art where a black pudding was used to knock people out.

Ekkythump was made famous by the Goodies back in the 70's.
They wore big tartan hats and koshed everybody over the head with black puddings.

Pretty much a northern English equivalent of "Bloody Hell!" (or "Flippin' 'eck!" in politer company).
An exclamation of surprise, in other words.
