Download a multi-platform chat client such as trillian or gaim, they will allow you to connect to multiple IM services at the same time with the same program. Trillian is also much more secure and harder to boot than the yahoo program.

You can download Gaim Multi user IM for Yahoo, MSN, ICQ, AOL in one Gaim messenger.
OR
you can use Yahoo web messenger for it.

It seems to come with the new download...maybe find the old one which did not have it...

I deleted it as it was giving me many problems...so I know what you mean..
