I'm not a transexual but my advice to you is to look on line for a TransGender support group in your area. TRI-ESS is a national TG group they can give you advice on finding a doctor to talk to. Gender reassignment is a lengthy and expensive process. Good luck

How old are you?
You need to find a gender identity disorders team, usually through your primary health care provider. They will help you work out what aspects of transition matter to you and help you weigh up your options.
I empathise with you girl, it's a long hard road, not an easy slog.
If you're right, it is worth it, if you're wrong, you'll find out what it means to be transsexual if you are successful!
Honestly though, go through the proper counselling channels, there is too much at stake here to risk back street advice, this is your life remember. If you I sincere then I wish the best of luck, just don't let the b*****ds get you down hon.
Good luck

Aww I'm sorry your family isn't supportive. There are support groups for people like us in most medium/large cities, just type "transgender support group (your city here)" and something should pop up. Please work on your anger issues as a positive attitude and a good sense of humor will lead to a more positive and successful transition. I'm online a lot in the winter months so feel free to Instant message anytime.

The first step for you would be to find a therapist who specializes in gender dysphoria, otherwise known as GID (gender identity disorder). Make sure that they are a licensed therapist and preferably not one that claims to be a Christian Therapist. Try locating one through the yellow pages physician's section. No luck? then go to the nearest GLBT community center and ask if they know of one.
Good luck, Tammi Dee

If you are sincere and will provide your location, I will try and put you in touch with relevant groups who can answer your questions - this is not a subject one should treat lightly or with humor. If your interest is just in playing "dress up", there are groups to which you can get referrals as well.

just be yourself,it will come naturally.you will see that in time you will adjust to being in the opposite sex.as for the surgery that takes money and time.dont let what people say or do affend you.if you let them win in that state of mind your only hurting yourself.good luck.
