I figured in the age of modern technology there would be a way to check if an email that has been sent to someone has been read?

Yes.
It's called 'receipt'. However, it's not accurate because the person
seeing the message or email is upto them to either block the receipt
or 'get' the receipt.

In case of 'block', the receipt won't be sent back to you notifying you
that they have read the message.
In case or 'get' then the receipt will be sent to you and you will be able
to tell if they read the message or not.

Sorry for the short answer, but to make a long story short.. you can't.

It is not possible to be sure of someone reading a mail you sent.

Ciao.

in another.in, there is something called "READ RECEIPT". If the email sent to somebody by you is read, you will recieve an alert email.

When you email someone, ask for a reply. If they don't answer you, you can assume they haven't read it.....or they simply don't want to be bothered.

If no Yahoo text alert, you just have to rely on the person telling you.
