its a release mechanism... most humans most of the time have all the information they want at the tips of their fingers - thanks to google and yahoo and msn. The prob is deciding what to choose. one is you dont know the answers and dont know where to start looking and other is you seen too many solutions but want to know what people out there would do if they were in your situation.
In this mood its best to ask questions. And stupid questions like "Why does the apple fall on my head" made newton a genius... so dont underestimate the "power" of asking stupid questions.

They are either very bored and can't figure out what else to ask, or they are not too intelligent and feel the need to ask what they truly want to know! Sometimes what we perceive as "stupid" isn't that stupid to the person asking that question.

Honestly I am seriously thinking some of these people don't understand they lose points, and that the answers are on the internet. I have been answering questions online like this for several years, and I have seen the same thing over and over. The previous answers always show up too.

I think it comes down to curiosity...How many people will answer a stupid, vague question...And how deep will they read into the question to try & win 10 (useless) points.

there is nothing stupid. we don't really have people without at least with 5% stupidity with them.
