You need to determine what kind of headache you have. Do you have light and/or sound sensitivity? It could be a migraine. These can be bvrought on by your menstrual cycle if you are female or by head trauma or by something you eat. Chocolate, for example can do this. If you have stabbing pain above an ear, it could be a cluster headache (usually men get these). This, based on how long you had it, could be something more serious, needing a head CT for further evaluation. See a doctor again. Meanwhile, cool compresses, no fatty foods or chocolate or coffee, a dark room and bio-feedback consisting of slow, deep smooth breathing.

No permanent cure for headache. It will be there so long as you are having head. But continuous head ache is indicative some serious illness and requires regular medical check up.
Common cause of head ache is hard work beyond capacity.lack of sleep, lack of nutritious food, continuous exposure to Sun and heat, reading in dark or poor light, there is no cross ventilation where you sleep or work, noise /sound pollution or a combination of all these. You examine whether these factors affecting you and avoid the factor that affects you.

Eek, 5 days is a long time. Off to the docs with you! Could be a long lasting migraine, mine last for about 2 - 3 days, but even so. Go and have a word. Good luck! (and wear sunglasses, its bright outside, dont want that making the pain worse!) :O)

Possible stress and neck tension, maybe a trapped nerve if the pain is sharp and over the eye too, hayfever, migraine caused by whatever, lack of sleep, go see the doc, at least they are free to see in the UK

Accupuncture could help, You might get some relief if you go outside in the cold. My Dad had migraines and he always sniffs lavender for some reason, he dabs it everywhere, the rest of us get hayfever.

4head, you can get it from chemist's and it is a natural remedy that you rub on yourforehead and it takes the pain away.
But as said before you should also see a docter, a headache is a way of telling you something is wrong.
