Why can't I make Google my home page?

Iv'e done it before on other computers and the ******* orange homepage won't budge and it's driving me nuts because I know it's so simple!!!!

Get the page you want for your home page on the screen.

Now on the top bar select - Tools then Internet Options then on the General tab where it says Home Page select Use Current.

on the tools, internet options, generals tab you can also just type in the web address that you want to use as your home page. IE:www.google.com then hit apply.
