Iam using windows XP whcih is in network, i had removed the readonly option for a folder, which was shared in the network, but agian it restores to readonly option, could u please help me!!!!!

i would like to know the difference between the tick mark and the full mark, of a folder properties(readonly)

It could be that the folder is owned by someone else, if you do not have Administrator priviledges. What do you mean by "tick mark versus full mark" - what are you using to look at that?
