Actually, you'll see more Hispanic kids than White, Black, or Asian. The media wants to appeal to minorities. If it's a positive story, they'll throw in some "token" faces to show they're being culturally diverse. If it's negative press, they show minorities more often than not doing bad things (even though statistically that may not be true).
