I suffer from endometriosis and have lots of hormonal symptoms like dizziness and feeling sick. I used to get lots of pain too but my doctor put me on some injections that have really helped. Go and see your doctor, there is no need for you to suffer like that when you may have something that they can help with. Even if you dont have anything wrong there will be something they can do like starting you on the pill or some medication. In this day and age there is no need for women to suffer every month. Ask Its worth getting it checked out. Good luck xx

I had these very same sypmtons from when m,y periods started when I was 12, until I went onto contraception at 18.
At first I went onto the injection, but completely ballooned. still, I stayed on it for 4 years because I didnt want the pain. I thenmoved onto Yasmin, oh sweet Yasmin. I lost most of the weight and had no more pain. I've now come off the pill completely and am pregnant (it was planned!), so no periods for a good year, hurrah!
not that I'm suggesting you get pregnant...
My doctor put me on various medications... Tyrylol, methanamic acid, co-proxamol, co-codamol... nothing worked. I used to faith from the pain, serioously, I know what you're going through.
how old are you? It could be your age, it may settle down once you're into your 20's. it could be a hormal unbalance. spak to your doctor and a herbal prectioner, but Argus Castus is very good for hormone problems. it will settle your PMT too. but do speak to a medical prectitioner before you take it.
hope you feel better soon, I really do

Hi, This does sound like endometriosis. I had that and pcos. The pain is sharp and unbearable. I would get an appt with a gynae consultant asap. I had to have a hysterectomy age 23yrs. I know its not this serious in most people but if you want children you need to be checked before to much damage is done. Very best wishes xx

It sounds like maybe you should go visit your doctor and get checked out. I was having pain and I ended up having cysts and scar tissue on my ovaries and uterus. The doctor did a very simple exploratory surgery and removed them. It was outpatient surgery and wasn't very painful. I was just a little sore for a few days.It might also be something that taking birth control pills could help too. You doctor should be able to do something to help ou get out of this pain.

You may have excess prostaglandin production, Endometriosis, adenomyosis, or another disorder causing your disabling pain. Talk to you gyn about getting a diagnosis for Endometriosis to start with. There are treatments that can help you live well, and don't take "painful periods are normal" as an answer from them - they aren't and help is out there. Start with www.endocenter.org, there is a self-test there to take to your doc. Good luck.

First, how old are you? Are your periods regular? Do you have a history with you or your female family members of endometriosis or cysts? Do you take birth control? You really need to see a OB-GYN doctor to eliminate your fears and get some therapy (not-psychological) for your symptoms. Though periods are not pleasant, they also do not need to be this bad.

Take a long, warm bath without lights on.
Try to stay away from people...LOL, really :)
Take some OTC medicine for PMS.
Make sure you drink plenty of water.
Eat right.
Try exercising when you're on your period.
Go swimming.
And, yes, most of us girls have experienced the same pain. :)
You may also try talking to your doctor about it.
I hope you feel better!
