By being backstabbed by your best and closest friend, you put up a wall so that no one could hurt you like that again. This is a normal and typical reaction to a betrayal such as this. What you need to work on now, is having good friends. In the future you should remember that no matter who you tell your secret to, they will tell someone else. Girls like to gossip and it hurts when they're talking about you. I've been there. To leave behind a phobia of a backstabbing friend, you must learn to trust again. And trust is a hard thing to build up again. Good luck. Hang in there!

you don't lose this fobia, it's not a fobia. You just learned a lesson. You will trust again but real trust takes a long time.In the meantime enjoy your friendships but keep your precious secrets safely to yourself until you truly know someone. You may get hurt this way many times in life but each time you become a little wiser. Just think of this experience as a learning curve and gain from it. At least you found out your friend was not a friend to be trusted with secrets, not everyone can keep a secret no matter how much they care for you.

mainly jealously.i hv lots of fds n there's just 1 fd i trust the most.she's the nicest person ever n everybody luvs her.funny think is everybody says she's a very secretive person.she doesn't talk to or tell ppl about her own problems. At all. she said the reason y is becuz she dun want to bother ppl n she understands how ppl just luv to gossip.she just listens to fdss for hrs when they r feeling down.the only person she tells Part of her secrets to is her mom.i think the fact that she's always there to listen to her fds n never tell their secrets and the fact that nobody knos anythin secrets about her makes her stay out of ppl gossiping about her and judging her.mayb u should try the same.I don't know how old u are but trust me,eventually,u realize the only ones u can trust is ur family
gd luck!

I hate to say it people do use each, others for ego stroking, cause thier bored or just someone they can complain to! Friendship are like relationships, you have to put as much as each other to get the best out of it!
I just say be more guarded with the people you talk to, the funny thing i find about girls is that they tendgo through a lot of best friends when guy genrally keep the same one.

It's hard to get over this kind of a betrayal, especially by someone you considered your best friend. You might try asking her why she did it - maybe if you understand it you can move past it.
It's a tough thing though, and the best advice is to give it time. In time you'll find another friend who really will be trustworthy. Good luck!

i already experienced that situation..you said that she is the most trusted person..How could that happen if she told everyone your secrets??maybe your "friend" is insecure to you..ask her in personal why she did that to you....just always pray to god...He's always the best friend you can ever have...
