The red one. I would want to know for sure, no matter what the world was like. At least Zion was real, despite it not having all the comforts we are used to - I would rather that than be stuck in a make-believe world of luxury.

Everyone wants to be heroic and choose red. I'm going to step out on a limb and choose blue.
Blue represents the entire world that you know and love. Would you forsake that all on a whim? Would you really want to know what was beyond the limits of the world around you? Sure, it could be cool hanging out with Neo and Trinity and all them in Matrix world, but you see, you can bravely say "red" because you've seen the movie and know exactly what you're getting yourself into with that. In a real situation of the same nature, that safety net of dramatic irony isn't as steady. I would enjoy what I have; maybe what is beyond is kept from my knowledge for my own safety. Just look at how this world in itself works: when you were younger, you knew nothing of bills, taxes, and gov't corruption. You had to lose a lot of innocence before you could even understand trauma and suffering and disappointment even in your own life (particularly traumatic childhoods aside, of course). Each of these new concepts of the world around you is a red pill in its own right, if you catch what I'm saying.

Basically, another way of putting it is this: Would you rather live the carefree life of a child, or be thrust into the world of adults before the proper time has come. As a child, I would have eager swallowed the red pill, probably being the first in line at that, but as I got older, I began to realize that maybe being hasty wasn't quite the best decision....

I really like the film the matrix, I would choose the blue pill as I'm a wimp. If i was in real life to be given this choice i still would choose the blue as im not a fan of the colour red.

My answer would depend on what kind of day I had. If I had a bad day then I would take the easy way out and go into the other world. But if I was feeling on top of the world then I would stay here.

This question makes me wonder if I have already been given this choice in real life. Probably not but hey it will give me something to day dream about at work tomorrow.

Interesting question :-) ...

Enlightenment or Ignorance ...

I would choose enlightenment myself and am doing things along those lines through self development stuff ...

Have a look at the page below and whilst not about Matrix specifically the parallels are pretty obvious ....

I would choose the blue and save the red for later... that way, I could conduct my survielance with no suspicions placed on me... gather as much insight as possible from the others, while laying out the weak points & plans of attack.

Why not swallow them both at once? Matrix was so derivative I've forgotten most of it. Does it think it is clever? Read Alice in Wonderland if you are so interested in reality and choice.
