When I first enter letters in yahoo search text box, the text is autocompleted with previous search words used, i.e. if I search for "sex" first time, then when I write "s" second time it is autocompleted to "sex". How can I do away with this?

tools > internet options > content tab > autocomplete button > clear forms button (this clears the old stuff)
tools > internet options > content tab > autocomplete button > uncheck "forms" (to prevent this from happening again)

To the right of the Y! there is a little black arrow pointing down click it and then drop down to TOOL BAR OPTIONS.
Make sure you un-select Enable Auto-Complete.
That should fix it. close it out, and try again.
Also I have mine setup to delete the search history when I close Internet Explorer.

Follow step 1 & 2 :-
1) If you have yahoo toolbar, you will see a pencil icon (near Y!) click on it & further click 'clear search history'.
2) Under 'Tools' > internet options > Contents > under 'Personal information' Click 'Auto complete' & do the required settings. > click OK & close

If you didn't search for things you shouldn't be, you wouldn't have to worry about this. Just be good.. And you will be all set!

tools, internet options, hit the contnet tab, go down to the auto=complete button and turn it off
