It depends on your character and what do you expect to get from your pet. If you want a faithful friend, highly dependant on you and so, the dog should be your pet. On the other hand, since the personality of cats is more unpredictable you may result dissapointed with him/her. You always have to be there for him/her but not on the contrary. Nevertheless it have to be said that a cat offers you much more freedom at holidays since they can live happily for some days alone at home.

Do you mean to ask, "Which is better a dog or cat (either one... dogs for they are true friends, cats for they are independent and don't bark)?
