A hot glue gun works on shells that are clean and dry.
I don't know how many shells you have, but at the craft store there is a clear resin kit that you can use to put your shells in clear plastic.
You can make coasters if the shells are small,a paper weight
with small to medium.
You can get at the trophy store, the makings of a desk
pen and pencil set and make your own base.(shells & resin)
Good Luck!

go to a hobby shop and talk to them. They pretty much have to be specialists in glues and what will and won't work. My best guess would be Cyno-Acrilate (instant glue), but there are different types for different materials.

You could make a shell curtain by stringing the pieces together. Or maybe do something abstract with them. It will bring out the artist in you!

You could try "LePages White Bondfast", or even an epoxy glue.
