I remember reading in my local newspaper, many years ago, that some high school kids cooked up some magic mushrooms and ate them, and then started hallucinating and seeing some crazy ****, how would they have cooked them up? and how dangerous would it be? could you die from eating them?

It is the mushrooms themselves that make you hallucinate, not any cooking process. In fact, cooking them would probably decrease the effects. Mushrooms are one of the least harmful hallucinogenic drugs and as far as I know have not caused any deaths directly. However, when you are hallucinating you may participate in dangerous behaviors which can be fatal (i.e. walking across a crowded street without knowing it).

From a personal point of view I would say that picking any wild mushroom without knowing what you are doing is decidly dodgy as they can be very deadly. If you really want to know about so called 'magic mushrooms' this site may help

Don't do it if you picked em yourself and aren't 100% sure they are exactly what they're supposed to be.

And yes you can die. It takes alot, but you can die. On the other hand if it's the wrong kind, you would STILL DIE but it would only take a bit to get you there.

As far as how you should cook em....there's pleanty of places for you to find out so asking here is not the smartest.

You cook the shrooms by boiling them and making tea or koolaid or punch, etc. out of the juice..It is very dangerous if you get the wrong mushrooms and yes some of them can kill you!
