The Mosquito is a member of the family Culicidae; these insects have a pair of scaled wings, a pair of halteres, a slender body, and long legs. The females of most mosquito species suck blood from other animals. Size varies but is rarely greater than 15 mm (0.6 inch). Mosquitoes weigh only about 2 to 2.5 mg (0.03 to 0.04 grain). They can fly at about 1.5 to 2.5 km/h (0.9 to 1.6 mph) and most species are nocturnal.
As defined by entomologists, a fly (plural flies) is any species of insect of the order Diptera. These typically have one pair of true wings, with the hind wings modified into halteres. Flies are common amongst humans and some can cause the spread of serious diseases. The housefly (Musca domestica) and mosquito are particularly common amongst humans. Other flies, such as the horse fly (Family Tabanidae), can inflict painful bites. The larva of a fly is commonly called a maggot.

Which is more irritating? I muz say it is Mosquitoe! I hate the noise they make beside my ears at night... It is horrible!

Are you serious? One sucks your blood to reproduce (mosquitoe) and the other vomits on you (fly) when it lands on you.

mosq - digest its food fully in side its body.
fly - partially digests its food out side its body.
mosq - It has piercing type of probosis
fly - It has mop type probosis
mosq - the hind wings are visible
fly - the hing wings are rudimentary and not visible
