Acetone-based nail-polish remover would work wonderfully. It's also a great 'cure' for the time you accidentally squirted crazy-glue all over your fingers. Be carefull when using acetone around plastics, however (like -- when the bread bag melts on the toaster) be sure to only get the metal parts -- because acetone disolves plastic (although, I doubt unless you really pour it on, it'll eat through your toaster buttons).

Soak the glasses in very warm, soapy water for 30 minutes to an hour. Eventually the adhesive will loosen and you can rub it away with your finger or a washcloth.
This has always worked for me on several occasions.

Nail varnish remover works every time although soap and water should be ok too. Why do people use such strong glue on labels. Drives me mad!
