A boogie-eating habit seems pretty harmless; as bama has already pointed out, toddlers eat 'em all the time, and I suspect it may even help the toddlers build up immunities to common germs (many bacteria and viruses cannot exist outside a human host for long, so eating the dead ones that have been stuck in your nostrils for a while seems like a sort of oral vaccine). Just remember not to pick your nose in public...

Boogers bad to eat? No-o-o-o, toddlers do it all the time. It's just a combination of dried mucus, and all the other particles your nose hair filters Mr. Nasty!

Little ones, big ones, sticky ones, bloody ones, slimy ones, long ones, short ones, black ones, brown ones, in your throat making you gag, on your chin and you don't know it's there, mixed with earwax, there everywhere! i don't think so. it's filled with all sorts of dirt and bacteria that got blocked by your nose hair.
