Materazzi called Zinadine an 'Dirty Terrorist'
So Zinadine headed him -it was the highlight of the World Cup for me.
Go Zidane.
Talk about leaving on a high.

Who cares what he said? I bet I could come up with far worse and if Zidane tried to headbutt me, I'd snap his scrawny little neck like a baguette. He's pathetic and over-rated. He's a very good footballer, but hardly one of the all time greats. I feel sorry for Figo, Cafu, Carlos and others who also retired from international duties, have provided a similar ammount of skill and entertainment over the years and didn't nut anyone. What mention do they get?

this has been going on for the past 2 days. Zidane once played in the Italian team for 5 yrs, maybe they just didn't see eye to eye. as there was no comment made. so its all hush.. then again that's his business dont u think.

A lip-reader was found who was able to determine what he said. Along the lines of a mild start to the words finishing with "I hope your mother and family die in hell" And the the Italian equivalent of "F*** off". Shame that Zidane understood Italian.

Apparently his parents are algerian, and materazzi called him a terrorist and the song of a drity terrosrist whore who should be burnt in hell. To be honest, im not surprised Zidance did what he did, i would have done the same thing no matter the occasion, he shouldn't have dlone it. Dont you think though that Zidane must have said something to materrazi first to spark that reaction?

Violence is never excusable. Zidane will end his career dishonorably and it serves him right.

Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.

I learned this in pre-school.
