he is absolutely crushed, and he told me that when he was a baby he had an infection in the testicles and the doctor said he should be operated on , but the next day they looked k so his parents didn't take him, do you think this is what caused it? and is there anything he can take to help bring the levels back up?

The first thing to do is to have the test redone. The lap could have made a mistake. Be sure to get an *exact* explanation of the test results. Having *no* sperm is very unlikely, and it is probably irreversible. However, the doctor may have been speaking metaphorically--he may have meant that there are "only" 2 million sperm when there should be at least 20. While it is true that a man with a sperm count of only 2 million is considered infertile, there *are* men who have impregnated their wives with that low a sperm count and with *no* medical help. So it is possible.
If his sperm count is low, there may also be some things that you can do to bring it up. First of all, it could help if he eliminates bad habits like drinking alcohol, smoking, drugs, etc.
Heat is the enemy of sperm. The testicles are located *outside* the body cavity because sperm need to be slightly cooler than body temperature to grow properly. So, if he wears tight underwear or pants, he can switch to something looser. Instead of hot showers or baths, a warm one may help. And if he works or spends time in a very hot environment, that could also be the cause.

If the doctors couldn't find any sperm in his semen, i'm very sorry to tell you that there's almost nothing you two can do about it. The infection in his testicles, when he was a baby could indeed be the reason for that.Of course he would be crushed, you can imagine what its like receiving that kind of news.I'm really sorry.
If you two really want to have children. you could use a sperm donor but not all men are happy with the idea of their partner carrying someone else's baby. Talk to your partner about that and if he doesnt welcome the sperm donor thing, you could always adopt.
There are plenty of homeless, adorable babies out there, who would be lucky to end up in your home.

There could be many reasons for why there is no sperm in his semen. If he has not been to a fertility urologist...I would suggest doing that. I would also retest in 3 months, which is a general regeneration period for sperm

Don't snap at him and make sure you are very supportive of him. And please don't cheat like someone else just mentioned.
Forget all medications or treatments, Yoga is the right answer. Tell him to consult a yoga guru and start some yoga exercises which would help him in regaining his lost sperms.

Do your part for the world and adopt.
My partner had the snip beofre I met him, we're not havign kids. Overpopulation is real, and Americans are the worst consumers, we do SO much harm just in living. Help a kid who wouldn't have a chance otherwise.

he might had mumps in his childhood.though no sperms were found in his sample but his body might be producing ones but were stucked in any place in their tract due to fibrosis caused bt previous infection. I recommend a haormonal study.

Go on line and find a sperm bank, then find a donor that has similar characteristics (race, age, height, eyes, etc). to your husband.
So sorry about that, but with a sperm donor, no one has to know.
