i am straight and religious. i like to WATCH rainbows but would never wear the colors or the rainbow or i would be called gay
Noah's Ark DOES have everything to do with rainbows
God put the rainbow up as a sign of his sorrow for the great flood
straight ppl care if ppl think they are gay because these ppl get picked on and lose many friends. plus, they have trouble findinf gf/bf
i should know, i am straight and hate being mistaken as gay!

Rainbow symbol and rainbow flag have a long history that originally didn't have much to do with gays. Originally it was used as a symbol of hope and of social change, which is what gays stand for.
Rainbow was adopted as a sign for the hippies, they had/have Rainbow Gatherings. Historically, a rainbow flag was used in the German Peasants' War in the 16th century as a sign of a new era, of hope and of social change. Rainbow flags have also been used as a symbol of the Cooperative movement; as a symbol of peace, especially in Italy; to represent the Tawantin Suyu, or Inca territory, in Peru and Ecuador; by some Druze communities in the Middle east; and by the Jewish Autonomous Oblast.
The use of rainbow flags has a long tradition; they are displayed in many cultures around the world as a sign of diversity and inclusiveness, of hope and of yearning.

They do not own the rainbow at all. The rainbow FLAG was chosen to be the international symbol for gay people; both male and female. That's it. The rainbow (in the sky) belongs to everyone.
Noah and the Ark are a nonsense and have nothing to do with lesbians nor rainbows.

Don't worry about what they think. If you like rainbow so what believe it or not there are still people that don't know a rainbow is gay or lesbian. If you are seen with a variety of people let them wonder. I like peacocks does that mean I only watch NBC. It is a judgment call. Rainbow brite lives on in all of us not just gay people.

Everyone who thinks god created rainbows...put down your crack pipes!
We get the rainbow because we called it. Breast cancer gets the pink ribbon in a similar fashion. Nothing is keeping you from wearing rainbows except for your own bigoted ideology.

Are you going to let someone else dictate what you can wear or like? If you want a rainbow, get one.

we (gay/lesbians) don't OWN rainbows. the rainbow FLAG is representive of gays. but liking rainbows doesn't mean you are gay. if you are secure in who you are, you shouldn't worry what other people think.

The rainbow represents diversity. If you accept diversity, grab yourself one and reel it in.
