True friendships exist with a certain amount of friendship love, called "filia".

No matter how self-centered or selfish a person is, people have been able to love their children and spouses. It can be the same with friends.

Chris Rock said it best when he said "you would think women would rule the world by now but they never will because WOMEN HATE WOMEN." It's true. My sister doesn't have any female friends. I don't have any male friends because they all wanted to get it on with my sister. THere are no such thing as a true friendship. Especially when there are people attracted to the same person be it a woman or man. Then again I could be wrong. But I don't think so.

I married my best friend :). Not many people can say that. Some confide in other people about their relationships. But if you ask me, that furthers the gap between your other half and you. So this to me is true friendship. Spending the rest of my life with my best friend, giving her my everything and being able to rest in the knowledge that no matter how hard i fall, she'll always be there to catch me :). I'm such a wuss heh

Yes, true Friendship does exist.
Both have a good mutual understanding.
Friends share their ideas.
They share their feelings.
They share their thoughts.

They share their ups and downs in their life.

They share their Smile and share their Cry.

Whether they may be a Girl or a Boy.
Friendship does not depend on the sex.
It depends on the relation of each other.

A small and old good proverb of a true friendship is :------
"Friends in need is a friend in deed".

Yes, but only in sweet memories. It can work only on short term, so it's better for every friendship to split up at some point to keep it alive in memories.

Yes. The best one is with the best knowlege. Self centered is not necessarilly selfish. And finally we shouldn't have higher expectation from the one who can not deliver what we desire.
Illusion is our desire.

if i understand what you are implying by "true" i would say no, there are always issues. but perhaps it's the process of ignoring or getting past the issues that makes the friendship stronger?

the only way it can exist is if the other person and yourself have a family love for eachother. you got to love this person like it is your sistr or brother and get the same treatment in return.
