Rock music is not a cause for any of the conditions you suggest or any other similar effects. The root cause of most of these conditions is social pressures, that is, how a person interacts with his or her peers and others on a daily basis.
People who use music, religion, the written word, television, movies, etc. as an exscuse for anti-social behavior are just deluding themselves. People who blame those things for the actions of their loved ones are deluding themselves, because they don't want to admit their own culpability.
BTW, some might take my tone as "jaded-ness," but I assure you it has nothing to do with the music I listen to, the books I read, or the television I watch. At least I am aware of the factors which influence me, and I make an effort to maintain my behavior within the societal norms.

Oh come on ! I've been listening to rock & metal for years with no problem. It is the individual, not the music, which causes the problem.

i think metal music or like satanistic messed up people with totally bleh lyrics can encourage bad morals and stuff. but if the lyrics are fine, i think its ok (with balance of course). i really believe lyrics soak into you, regardless if you're really listening to the words or not. its like a subconscious thing. rock music can be good-- mine makes me fall asleep so happily :D

Rock isn't but rap is. What kind of stupid question is that anyway? If you don't like it or a particular group then just don't listen to it. Simple as that.

it depends on you. if you find it too addicting, it might push you into violence. if you find it inspirational, it might push you to doing better on anything
