lets say that one side is 254cm and the other 355. Then you have 2,54x3,55= 9,01 square meters

There are 100 cms in a metre, therefore if your bathroom is, for example, 250cms by 300 cms that converts to 2.5mts by 3 metres. You then multiply the 2 figures together to give you an area of 7.5 square mts, so you can go and buy your tiles.
Have fun

1 sqm = 100cm x 100cm
Therefore, 1 sqm = 10,000 sqcm,
and 1 sqcm = 0.0001 sqm.
Make sure when you buy the tiles to take into account wasteage and cutting of tiles. Usually add about 10-20%.
*edit*
Most tiles are sold in boxes with a note saying how many square metres they will cover, so there's usually no need to figure out how many tiles you need.

Tiles come in 12 by 12 sweet heart. So you will have to start from the center of your bathroom and lay them outwards and trim what ever is left to fit perfect.
To determine how many you Need they come about 45 to a box. so you will have to measure your bathroom in ft inches. For example a a 5 by 8 bathroom would call for 40 square feet. Now a box of 45 tiles will lay approximately 48 square feet so you should have enough tiles in one box to cover a 5 by 8 bathroom:)

just convert cm to meters by dividing your measurement by 100. then multiply the measurement on one side with the measurement on the other side. You will have the measurement in square meters. And so, if you will buy tiles you just divide the square meters measurement by the measurement of the tiles desired. Then, you will have the number of tiles you need.

Measure a tile you like and then divide its width into the width of your wall, do the same for the depth. There are faster ways, but I think that this method will suit you.

Multiply your cm's together and divide by 10000. (Just move your decimal point 4 spaces to the left)
Remember to plan for extra. (Make sure you can RETURN unused tile [or KEEP it for future maintenance]).
