He might have insulted him coz he's jealous...and materazzi felt that France was getting more and more chnces of scoring...So he went on provoking the best player on the field. It's just pathetic, and sad what materazzi said and did!!!!!

because he knows zidane plays 10 times better than him...and he jealous to zidane..
because of it he tried to make him angry..
becasue he knows that anytime he cant play like zidane....
