0 (Zero)

Dividing zero by anything is still zero. Think of it this way, if you had no money whatsoever and you had to give some to 2 friends, how much would you be able to give them. Zippo!

BUT if you divide something by zero, that's a totally different story. The answer to anything divided by zero is infinity.

Zero

All the people who said zero are correct. Everyone who thought it was undefined or infinity are confused. Here's why:

It's fine to divide with zero in the NUMERATOR. It is undefined to divide with zero in the denominator. (That is to say, 0/2 is fine, 2/0 is bad).

0/2 is equivalent to taking 0 and multiplying it by 1/2. Any number multiplied by 0 is 0.

It is zero.
Let’s really calculate this: Let’s take zero apples, and divide zero apples between two of us. Result: each of us got zero apples. Hence the answer is zero. Of course in mathematics this follows from arithmetic axioms, so a strict logic of obtaining the answer would be a bit different. But understanding comes best from examples ‘fleshed’ into everyday experience. So, just think about what words really mean and calculate yourself, do not trust some mnemonics or ‘rules’.

yeah...mathemathically speaking, you can't divide zero with any number, since there is nothing to divide. Maybe, it's because you can't divide zero that "zero" becomes the answer itself...then again, in a math class, the teacher says that zero is the answer, hmmm. Because there is "nothing" to divide, "no answer" I guess it's because there's no answer that we put "zero" as next the best answer than "could not be solved"
-funny question though...

zero 0

The answer is Zero. I never knew so many people could not do basic math--it is not infinity or undefined! It's only undefined if he asked, "what's two divided by zero?".

0 is your answer.
