A second hand car 2002 Proton Wira is being offered to us for only $4,930 installment basis payable for one year. THe car has been used for more than 3 years.
If I get a brand new car, it will cost around $273 monthly for 5 years.
Should I get a brand new one or a second hand.

It could be the case that in five years the technology current cars run on is obsolete.
Buy with the view that it is a disposable asset. Something to get you from A to B.

If you are buying your first car you should go with the second hand car because firstly it is not that expensive and with your first car you would not know what is going on, only after a while so if you do something wrong it won't that bad if you have a second hand car, then after you pay off you car get a new one and if it gives you any trouble you will know what to do.

Yes, it is very practical to buy a second hand car. As a previous poster said, you lose a lot of the value of a new car the minute you drive it off the lot. I personally would never buy a brand new car, certified pre-owned is a good bet.

It is more economical to buy a used vehicle because the new cars lose 1/3 of their value within the first year. If you buy a used car make sure that you know the history of the car before you buy it.

It depends on the condition of the second hand car ,
Make sure the Engine is in Good Shape and it is not an accident car!
