Aspirin - good or bad?

Question

is aspirin tablet poisonous. I read an article which says aspirin is poisonous . Can anyone tell me whether this is true .
But aspirin is commonly prescirbed for pains .

it's not poisonous - it's the most common antiinflammatory but if you use too much of it and on an empty stomach it can provoque ulcerus and it also dilueds the blood cause it has antitrombocytic qualities that's why people take it after a heart attack...but if you are a child under the age of 12 it can cause a condition called a Reiky syndrom or somthing like that and that could kill you :)

Most patients benefit from aspirin with few side effects. However, serious side effects can occur and generally tend to be dose related. Therefore, it is advisable to use the lowest effective dose to minimize side effects.
In other words, it's toxicity can be reduced if used at low doses. It is good for pain and in some cases it is also used as a preventive measure for heart attacks (since it has a 'blood thinning' property).
So, I'd say, the benefits outweigh the risks involved in using aspirin.

As with most things, whether it's good or bad depends on the circumstances-- if you have a bleeding ulcer, it's a bad idea. If you have a headache, or are taking a low dose on the advice of a physician for cardiovascular health, it may well be a good idea. Taking the whole bottle at once is bad in any case, but for most people a few tablets once in a while are going to be just fine.

Aspirin is bad for children....can cause Reye's Syndrome. Otherwise, it's good unless you're allergic or taking some kinds of medications. You can also die from an aspirin overdose.

Bad if taken alot. Don't take it less you have heart problems. One aspirin a day might prevent stroke. Only take Bayer though. The stuff in Tylenol can be poisonous.

It cant be too bad as it commercially available without prescritpion, and is also often prescribed daily for heart conditions and blood conditions. I guess you just shouldnt take so much.

it's not to good if you use it to much, but it's okay if you don't use it to many. if you drink it to much you'll get a liver problem. if you got headache don't drink aspirin quickly. try to rest first or tak a bath and drink some traditional medicine. ifit not works, then drnk parasetamol.
