I think that it depends largely aupon what kinds of girls are thinking that you are not hot, but just cute. Do they actually say that you aren't hot, only cute? Or do they just call you cute, and from that, you presume that they mean you're 'only' cute and not hot? You see, for some women, "cute" is the word to describe everything they admire in a guy. They don't necessarily go for the word 'hot'. Then there are women that would use the word 'hot' to describe what to them is meaningful when looking for a guy/rating a guy. So, you'd really have to get to know the girl before you can really know what she means by the word 'cute'. When I was in h.s., I used cute to describe the guy of my dreams. Now, I use hot to describe my husband. So maybe you should check into how old these gals are, too.

You're probably the "take home to mom and dad" type, or perhaps you remind them of a brother ("the brother I never had" type).
I'm not sure if girls use this sort of logic, but I for one prefer girls who are "cute". It's more of a natural form of good-looking. I think sexy is harder to trust and requires work to maintain. A girl who's "sexy" now will have to work a lot harder down the line to keep it fresh, whereas a naturally "cute" girl is who she is.
Of course, most girls probably prefer hot guys, who usually tend to be jerks.

Well cute and hot r two different types of attractive people.Most of the girls i know prefer cute rather than hot.The"hot" guys usually have a macho ego which jus says frm his face"I'm THE MAN.Do'nt mess with me." Be happy that u r cute.(Frm ur avatar it seems u like to be cute too)

Because they are not sexually attracted to you. You need to up the sex appeal or you will forever be delegated to the "just a friend" category.
