No,it's not.Unless she is the virgin mary, and that ain't happening again so........nope.If a man wants to be involved in his childs life, then I am all for it.There is too little of that around anyway. But I beleive that if a man wants a woman to abort the baby abd she says no,then it's her responsibility to raise that child.I mean,if a woman wants an abortion and the man says no,he wants the baby, then give it to him with the same stipulations.I believe both parents have a say in something they both created. It takes two to tango(corny, right?).

I'm sorry, but it is fair. The medical science in America is still saying that a child is not "alive" by legal standards until the beginning of the third trimester.
At which point it is now living human with rights. But before that, it's just a glob of cells.
As being such, the woman has simply the right to decide what she does with her body. The man has the same rights. He just can't get pregnant.
Seems fair to me.
Of course I am totally against abortion. I personally believe that it is murder. But this is a direct result of religious ideals. Thus, it is not the same as murder in the law's eyes.
Separation of church and state please.
This is the one and only reason that I personally believe that abortion should be legal. At least until the medical association changes their view on what "living" is.
But I would also like to point out that any pro-choicers Had best be pro-drug legalization, otherwise they are just hypocrites.

Yes, it's completely fair. Because rights are generally attached to responsibilities and obligations, and men do not have the same responsibilities and obligations when it comes to pregnancy.
Look at it this way. Before conceptions, both have the same choices: to have sex or not, to use contraceptives or not. So, both have the same rights and responsibilities.
After birth (and until adoption), both again have the same rights, responsibilities and choices. Both are financially obligated to support the child, and both have the choice of giving the child up for adoption.
During pregnancy (from conception up until the point of viability), only the women is involved in the process. It's her body that is bearing the burden (or joy, if you prefer) of providing nourishment and life-support for the embryo. It's her body alone that bears the direct effects of the pregnancy. So she alone has the right to decide what happens inside her body.
Rights, responsibilities and obligations all go together. When men become biologically capable of carrying children during pregnancy, then things will be different.

It doesn't seem fair, does it? But if you're talking about having the same rights, what happens if a woman wants to abort but the man wants to keep the baby? No matter what, if you think that you are responsible enough to make the decision to have sex then you should be mature enough to handle the consequences that may result from your actions.

If this were the law, either man or woman could decide on abortion, then few women would choose giving the baby to the father. Not much child support ever collected from divorced women without custody. They just won't don't pay.

absolutely not. I think if either of them wants to keep it. The baby should have to be born, but say if the mother didn't want it and the father did then the mother should just give the baby over to the father and be done. like an adoption kinda thing. Thats what I think. I don't think that a man should have the rigt to say that a child should be aborted though 1 I belive its wrong in general and 2 its not his body, but it is his baby and if he wants to keep it then the mom shouldn't have had sex if she didn't want to have the child. Anway if he wants it give it to him.

Hey, that's true. Since women get to make that choice, men should get a bonus. I've got it...As long as they're paying child support, I think men should get to have sex with the woman who had their baby whenever they want for the rest of their lives.

I don't know. It is one of those double standard questions. You can argue that he has a right to the child, but then there is the argument of a woman's choice and the rest of that jazz. This issue will never be solved as long as there are unexpected pregnancies...

If a man does not want a child he can take precautions. Use contraceptives! If he fathers a child, he must shoulder full responsibility of the child

Yes because my body is my body and not anyone else's to control. If a guy doesn't want a child, then he shouldn't have sex or he should wear a condom.
