ok the details... the "Truth" being... not lying to the public about what the public wants to hear, or needs to hear to either be affraid or feel safe, in otherwords the bad news... if I said we're running out of oil and you are all too fat and the population is out of control and you're destroying our planet, and a government reflects it's people and if you keep using credit the way you have for the last 25 years then our defict will only explode further...

if I said this would you vote for me?

or would you rather me tell you that through hard work and our belief in this and that we're all gonna be fine...

I'd say, the peak oil theory is just a theory and unproven. There are other theories as well that say that oil is a continual biological process that keeps replenishing itself and that there is more than enough of it right now to last us more than 500 years.

There are a lot of fat people in this country who need to be told they're fat and not coddled or led to believe it isn't their fault somehow. Unless they really have a medically proved glandular problem...they're just lazy and eating the wrong food.

As for destroying the planet. Not a chance. You can make a mess, and you can make pollution, and it can be unhealthy...all is proved through real world events. What you cannot prove, and what there really is no consensus on (except within liberal groups and the media) is that Global warming is a man made event. So far out of the realm of reliable science do these claims go that most credible scientists who can see the trap stay out of the political argument. Right now, we are experiencing a period of increased solar activity. CO2 is not a greenhouse gas of much importance, it's just one we make a lot of (each animal on Earth separates).

Finally, all those things you point out as truth are subjective, not absolute.

You need to drop the propaganda, and start addressing issues that you can handle. Like cleaning up a local park, or, supporting a local chapter of the big brothers.

So no, I would not vote for you.

Actually I don't think anyone really wants to know the truth. Most people have a glorified version which fits their preconcieved idea of what America is. America has some of the best attributes of any country and it has some very wicked dispicable things in its past. I love this country but fear my government. I don't think we are the best country but I think we are far from the worst.
Basically I think I couldn't vote for you however if you told the truth about America because if your message caught on you would probably be shot by some strange assassin. America really doesn't want to know the truth. We couldn't handle the truth....so the answer is NO absolutely not!

Saying the truth and doing something about it are two different things...it would be refereshing if you told the truth and stood for office, but I would want to see your plan for dealing with all the "truths" you are espousing and that plan would have to take into account my personal freedom, my personal economy which are in tension with overall goals of the whole (be it county, state, nation or world). Saying the truth as you see it is the easy part, its what to do with that truth after you set it out there for all to see. Not so easy.

Sorry, you would never get my vote! I would hope that you lost by a land slide! You don't have the USA or the people in heart and are not thinking of their best interest! You can't lead this wonderful nation alone, you need great people to assist you and help you!

You are just trying to tear down this country with your negative outlook. Keep your opinions to yourself or leave the USA!

No, as Americans the truth is irrelevant in the way we vote. Just tell us you'll stop; abortion, gay marriage, and ferrorist(FOX news terrorist) create a theocracy and throw our checks and balances out the window. You'll get a majority of the votes.

I judge a man by his character, not by every word that comes out of his mouth. Only God has that place.

It's your time! If you are at least 35 years old and born in U.S. you can run for president. You've got my vote if you are an honest person.
