good lord, my best friend and i can talk for HOURS and when we're done, we've realized that we really didn't talk about much. we'll get the "how was your day" crap out of the way and then bring up any "stories" we may have been saving for each other. then when that ends we will watch movies together on the phone (this drives my husband insane) and we will just babble and talk for hours. i don't know if we're just weird or if others do this, but we've been friends for 30 years now so we can babble about nothing and not get bored. wow, that looks kind of crazy now that i've typed it out.

i talk on the phone because i'm in a long distance relationship.. we talk about what we did during the day, work,friends, etc. and our feelings about the events. we make plans about the vacation we'll be going on when he is back and things that reminded us something'bout us.. even these takes about half an hour..

Like when i talk to my mom we talk about my children , and she fills me in on all the family gossip, her work , my work , the weather , my dad, my husband , my siblings , current events, t.v. shows, recepies, what great buys that we found ... as you can see if you talked about each item for at least 10min. you could be on the phone for a long time ....
