Especially all you little yuppie girls (you know who you are: you're liberal, you go to NYU, etc) Why are you always singing the praises of every obscure, downtrodden, third world country (Argentina, Mexico, Peru, etc) except Italy?

Well they are all angry that their team didn't made it!!!
With all those match-fixing scandals the "azzurri" made it after all,proved that the italian football is at the highest level!!!
For all those who say that they cheat,you don't know half of the truth,just because Moggi did that stupid thing doesn't mean that italians don't deserve to win,they were the best!

Ok, listen. I have read various answers and find some of them rather childish. Hating a country because of one player who may have made a racial slur is not mature, in my eyes. One person does not make a country! Let's leave this "I hate Italy after what that player (Materazzi) said to Zidane" and get on with it.
I'm not saying all this because I, myself, am Italian. I'm saying this because we need to move on with our lives and just accept that there are people out there who will tarnish our views of certain countries, races, religions, etc, but in the end they are a small percentage of the whole. We should really look at the large picture, not the fine details.

I don't hate Italy and I have no idea what the hell you're talking about. Why do you care if people don't like Italy? People can like whoever the hell they want to like whether you agree or not. Do you have some kind of issue where you need complete strangers to praise Italy for you? I like them....but I LOVE Argentina, Mexico, Peru, etc. way more!

As a matter of fact, I was delighted when Italy won Germany.
And I was happy as they won the World Cup over the penalties as that reminded me of 1994, and trust me...I had cried when Roberto Baggio missed that penalty...
Yet I would have also liked to see France wining as I'm a huge fan of Zinedine Zidane...

Italy is a great country of Michelangelo and Dante. Nobody hates Italy. But, I hate Italian football. It is now clear that it was Italy's strategy to get Zidane ousted from the field. Now I begin to believe also that they may have bought the referee who supervised ithe Italy-Australia match.

yeah...y does some ppl hate the italians?? they r good what.....i love em..i mean the people...the country, their culture.....their foods....all that stuff......i dont even hate em....they r nice, trust me....and by the way, y some of the people say they r cheaters? again,i'll say they r not cheating...( i mean in the FIFA which italia won).....i think they ( ppl that hate italian ) just jealous...haha...Lol
