Use any CD burning software like Nero or Adaptec. Choose burn mp3 CD. Create folders such as Artist-> Album Name1 and Album Name 2 (if the artist has more than one album). Before that you might want to ID tag the songs so that it appears neat when playing on CD players or computers.
You might also want to compress to at least 96kbps instead of 128kpbs so that you can put in more songs. They say the higher the bit rate, the better it sounds but to us layman, it all sounds the same. If you intend to play on some external player, check if your player can play .wma files (Windows Media Files). If it does, then instead of making mp3 CD, convert it to wma and make a wma CD. Wma format holds more songs than mp3.

Once you have d'loaded your mp3s select them (by clicking the ones you wanna burn,) then right click, choose option "send to D:\" Next, when the balloon pops up (in bottom right hand corner of screen) telling you have "files waiting to be written" click it. Onto the next screen, and the next step is to copy them onto a blank CD-R, you will normally find a piece of text in the top left hand corner of the window (in Windows XP) which says "burn to disc" (or something similar) - click that and there will then be a screen that pops up and to complete the process all you need to do is click the "next" button, ensuring that the files are being written as 'data' (as opposed to 'audio' - data=mp3 whilst audio=well audio!!) Et voila after a few clicks of the "next button" your cd burner will kick into life and produce a nice mp3 disc for you (XP uses Roxio Technology to actually do the burning.) You can normally get about 80 minutes of audio on a disc, but if you burn mp3s onto the disc you can get about 6-7 hours worth of music - around 8-9 albums worth, result. Some DVD players play mp3s so even if you dont have a flashy mp3 player/hi-fi you can still enjoy them on your dvd, or of course on your laptop.

Do your selection. Think about sequences and if they sounds about what are you wondering to hear.

Check sound quality, (volume, speed, etc) Use softwares to adjust it into the same standard.

Put all MP3 on a windows directory

Use Nero to burn it

Classify your selection and put it into some file.
Create a CD copy (to give to a friends or just keep as a backup).

Test it into your CD player, DVD player. ( you must hear until the end) orelse, just copy it to your TMp directory (if you find something wrong your copy will not finish correctly).

May the force be with you.

I use roxio easy cd creator 6 and you simply go to creator classic, select the tab "music cd",then mp3 disc. Then its a case of drag and drop from the top window where the files are to the bottom where the disc is. Click the burn icon and hey presto, thats it.
Never tried it on Media player so cant comment really, though I made a normal audio cd on it and it took forever.

If you want to create an mp3 disc then use Nero Express. If you want to burn it then I suggest you throw it towards the sun. You'll need to give it a really big throw otherwise it'll fall onto the ground and break and you don't want that do you!

If your music files are wma, you will need an file converter program to convert them to mp3. If you are ripping cd's with media player, make sure the output file format is mp3. Then you just burn a cd as data disc with mp3 files only.

Umm, not one of these people has Nero, obviously. To use Nero to burn an MP3 disk, you do this: under Favorites, choose "Make data CD", then just drag and drop the files you want on your MP3 CD. And no, you can't tell Nero to "Make Audio CD", because an MP3 CD isn't an audio CD. Audio CD's have files with the .cda file extension only, and you'll just waste a disk.

You could use the free version of Honestech HT Fireman which lets you create mp3 discs just by dragging and dropping.

also have a look at other freeware like:
BurnQuick Lite - http://burnquick.en.softonic.com/ie/20116
Deepburner/Deepripper - http://www.deepburner.com/

Personally I use Nero or Acoustica MP3 CD Burner

A good burning software I recommend is Ashampoo Burning. It's 100% free and can be downloaded here: http://j.mp/1sW2huT

If you want to create a DVD that works on a common DVD player, you definitely need a burning software. Copying the files of the movie as is won't work (If you do so your DVD player will not be able to play the video/movie properly). Ashampoo is a good option for every "burning need". It's reliable and professional, It can be used both for CDs and DVDs and it's very easy to use.

well it depends which way you want to burn it.

i have tried both of these options and both work well...

1. purchase nero 6 ultra edition. you can burn mp3 cd's with it and do millions of other things. best purchase i have made.

2. pour surgical sprit over the cd, put a match to it and stand back.
