I know it's a kinda weird question but the other day my bestfriend told me that i don't think about what i say before i say it. when i asked what she ment she said that a couple weeks ago when we got exam results and i got an A and she got a C that i was bragging too much. but the thing is i tried not to even metion it incase it upset and it's not even like we sat the same tier paper she did the lower tier which means C was the highest grade she could get. Is it selfish of me to be proud of my grades?

Congratulations on your good grades and keep it up. I dun think selfish is the correct word to be used. it should be "insensitive".
Please dun take your best friend's comments too seriously coz both of you are not sitting in the same tier paper, so the result actually cannot be compared.

If you din get a "A" but a "C", does it mean you are not as clever as your friend who get a "C" which is the highest grade? I think your friend may lack of confidence in herself as she take a lower tier paper.

As her best friend, I feel you should give her some encouragement to let her feel that you are also concern abt her.

Selfish? Most definetly..

Also, self centered and pampered and a spoiled brat to boot!

You mentioned that she is in the "lower tier" and cant get anything better than a C. Well, she did her BEST and you probably didnt even have to study for yours but she busted her butt and it WAS her best!

Your unkind, and unthinking and unforgiveable in your nature.

I think your friend needs counceling as to why she hangs around with you when she knows she is going to be abused!! Please, do her a favor and suggest it, so that she will get other friends who appreciate her more, as you dont care one twit about her feelings...

I wish you well..

Jesse

I don't think it is selfish. I get good grades and I brag about it all the time. I have a 3.83 gpa. Tell your friend to get a tutor and maybe she will quit getting bad grades

NO!! Be pround of what you get.. Dont go throw it in her face or anything like that but dont play yourself down to make her feel better either. She just has to face up to the fact that your better than her. Too bad.

maybe you didn't mean anything, you're just maybe happy with what you got, but then sometimes you must consider what others would feel regarding the action you'll take... be sensitive of the feelings of others...
