People embellish the truth and out and out lie when it comes to things of this nature. I don't know of ANY thirteen year olds that are "dating", and for the most part, this is a bit young to be getting into any sort of serious emotional involvement. I did not have a serious relationship until I was seventeen, and most of my friends seemed to be in that same range.
At age thirteen, you still have almost all of your life ahead of you. Don't be in such a hurry. Let nature take it's course. Relax and take things as they come, and save yourself a lot of unnecessary grief. I REALLY stressed over this very issue myself, and if anything, the pressure I put on myself hindered progress. In retrospect, I made myself miserable for no good reason.

In answer to your question, "it just seems that way" NOTHING is passing you up.
don't sweat it. I know lots of people older than you that have never had a girlfriend or a boyfriend.
Your friends will break up with their gf or bf now and then and you will see them more then. .
You don't need a girlfriend at your age. I know of people who are 19 and 20 and 21 and have never had a girlfriend or boyfriend.
None of that matters. At your age, there are plenty of other things that you should be enjoying and let the dating wait til later. There will be plenty of time for that in a couple years or in a few years.

Oh it's all very overrated. Don't worry too much about it. Who cares what the others are doing? Be an individual and wait until you're ready. It will happen automatically.
Besides - you end up with unsightly stains on everything when you date. Get a puppy.

dont rush into it when your ready you'll know it. some people start eariler than others, i didnt start dating till 15
