I saw this problem in different companies with different hardwares.
It seems that when XP wants to logon some exception happens and windows suddenly reboots ! If I install windows 2000 on that system and join it to domain I don't have any problem ! I gess that something wrong with XP

Reboot your PC in "Safe Mode" and go to my Computer L click go to C Drive R click Properties, Tools, Error Checking, Check Now check the box for fixing errors automatically and run the test it may take awhile. Then restart your PC normally that may do it. The link is for showing how to boot up in Safe Mode use just the normal one Safe Mode only no other support.
If that doesn't work install your WinXP OS disk and make the CD ROM that the disk is in a boot drive and reboot your PC. When the utility begins fallow the thread for Repair Instillation and do the repair. That should do it and you have all your files still there. And there is another link for that. If that does not do it for ya you may have to reinstall your OS and there is a link for that too treat your HD as a new disk and repartition the hard drive and reload the OS. Good Luck.

Yea that would of been important try this

While changing in hardware or installing the device driver its happenning occasionally. Why because of, may be the driver may not be digitally signed....other wise it is not compatible with xp. for that you have to again restart the machine go to safe mode and remove from the add remove hardware which causing the problem...then you can log in.

Did u mean Crash... if yes...OK

It could be something with the important files .. maybe something was deleted by mistake... like .dll files etc...

Try to re-install the OS.. that is XP .. if u have any important files.. try taking it in the DOS..mode by inserting a Start-up disk.. and transfering it to another partion which does not have the OS in it..

and then with ur Xp cd re-install it.. on the partion which has the Place which is crashed it could be.. the C Dirve..

OK...

I hope this helped u..

Bye

What really? And you expect someone to answer that how? Could be anything. Get Ubuntu or some other flavour of linux instead. Has everything a casual computer user would want to use - and its free.
