In my experience everyone is intimidated by educated attractive people, without any reverence to race.

Could it be stereotypes? People have false view of those whom they do not know when they are taught that certain types of people are a certain way.
A little off the subject but............
Just to bring to light which I am sure you know...no matter who you are....if you become very very successful and educated even though handsome........it can be very hard to find a good person. My reason for saying this is based on what my friend says about his gaining wealth and acheivement. There comes a point in time when very successful you may wonder if it is you people love or your money.
Now back to your topic..............
Black men whom are educated and handsome can be seen as stuck up by some, thought that may not be the case.
My thoughts about your question is just continue being you. Don't let other people's thoughts about you concern you. Do what you know you need to do to get ahead but always treat people fairly and respectfully. I am sure even though some may be intimidated.....others will stop feeling that way.

To thine own self be true. Intimidation is usually a substitute for lack of character.Don't promote yourself as an educated black man,just a man.No body cares about your level of education ,only people that don't matter care about your race and physical attraction is superficial.
Substance,Character and Confidence( not cocky).
By the way, I am a well educated,extremely handsome Proud Black man from the ghetto.
