Naturally, The common people dont want war....but after all it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy, all you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It all works the same in every country. Umm, ok. To answer your question, if we lose are leaders then some new leaders will just replace them. There are A LOT of human beings in this world. Like it or not we need governing. I don't like war and I don't know why we do it but your right on the part of mass manipulation. Isn't the mass media just great?

Hermann Goering was a self serving liar and thief, who got his kicks dressing up in garish uniforms and pontificating to any audience that would listen. If he indeed said what you give him credit for, he had not so much as taken into account what was happening just across the Atlantic. The US people had, since Hitler began rattling sabers, demanded and gotten a government commitment to stay out of any foreign wars. It took the attack on Perl Harbor to change their minds.

Now, if your absolutely on the edge of your chair to bash authority figures, you might consider focusing on those you're acquainted with, if any, and address specific issues that you disagree with. Oh, and you might also want to support you arguements by citing people more credible than an contemptable Nazi drug addict.
