I live in Durban and if I worked it out correctly you will be paying $3.68 a gallon. Hope this helps. Oh and dont overstress about the safety issue, just dont flaunt your possesions.
And dont forget to tip the petrol attendant, normally about R1 or R2, they will clean your windscreen, pump your tires and check your oil and water;)

I think petrol is around R7 per litre. I'm really not too sure. It wont be so bad for you though. Don't worry about your safety, you'll be fine! The petrol attendants are helpful. They'll check your oil and water, clean your windscreen, pump your tyres and can even help you with directions. Have fun!

The price of petrol (gas) changes every week.
Prepare yourself for R7 a litre.
7.1 ZAR(South African Rand) =1 USD

so a litre is about $1 to $2

US $ or South Africas $? It'll be cheaper if you use South Africas $. Cause the US currency is worth more then any other country. Don't know why. Just is.
