The label is there to advise the consumer about materials and processes used in the making of the mattress (or other item). The warning is for anyone other than the end purchaser/user of the item, to ensure that the buyer actually gets to read the information. You, the purchaser, may legally remove the tag.

That is put there for the people selling the items. Alot of consumers look to those tags to see if they are allergic to something contained in the matress/pillow. After it has been purchased, the consumer is free to remove it at his/her own risk.

It's a crime for the seller to remove the label. The end consumer can remove it without penalty whatsoever. It's to ensure that the mattress is safe to be sold. But once it is bought, whoever is the buyer can then remove the tag without fear of recrimination.

That label of the contents of the bedding must stay on the furniture until it is purchased by you. Then you can rip the tag off.

You (the consumer) can remove it...
it's just the peopel who sell it that can't. They want to make sure that consumers know they are getting the real product.
