How many email accounts do people have? Do you have more than one? If so, which ones and do you use them for different things? Which account is the one you use most regularly?

I always tell my customers to have no less than 2. One should NEVER EVER be given to anyone except friends and family, and the other should be a web-based with really good spam filtering. You can use that one for newsletters you want to read, or shopping. I really do want to see the Papa John's ad for example.
This is the best way to manage spam.
On a recent job hunt I used a third, just for the job hunt. (ladytechie somehow just didn't seem professional enough!)
You could do the same for any thing where you want all the emails to be on one subject.. say politics or tech newsletters.
I've lost count of the number I really have.. but I regularly check 2 from my ISP and 3 web-based, yahoo and gmail and I do still check the very first one I got years ago, that one is hotmail.

People have as many account as they chose to: i for one have two accounts. the first is exclusively reserved for the people that i have met and come to know well while the second is for the people i met on the Internet and have not seen face to face. However, i make use of the second one most regularly.

I have half a dozen. 1. for private e-mails, 1 for work e-mails, 1 for general, 1 for foreign, 1 for my business and 1 for family. The General one is the one I use most and its on Yahoo. I usually sort them and e-mail myself to the account that fits.

Try looking on Statistics websites... I read an article a few months (i forget the source, so please, forgive me for that) back that said that most people have an average of 5 email accounts; i myself have 4... :)

Some people i think daily create an account with forged names and afterward they can not remeber but most people have yahoo and hotmail.

I think I have 5 yahoos, 1 msn, 1 aol. Yahoo as you can tell I like the most. This is my most used accound.

I have 4.
One is directly linked to a forum I moderate on.
One is for general use (yahoo) - I use this the most.
One is for my company emails.
And the final one is the one I use to sign up for things with (eg internet shopping) and consequentially is the one that I receive all the spam to!!!

it all depends on how busy u are over the internet and your outside world. for instance, i have 3 accounts in yahoo, 1 in gmail and one in hotmail. they are the major ones so i don't want to miss even one of those best world e-mail services.
