he didnt. he was an alchemist and tried out his concoctions on himself, some of which had mercury in it which accumulated and killed him. It was all in the name of science.
he used to stick a long thin needle under his eyeball to press against the optic nerve to see the bright lights.
he was a true scientist

Did he?? Well I don't blame the guy....nerds have a way of letting out their steam..either they turn loonies or commit suicide.He muss be going insane with science. Muss have gone bonkers towards the end and decided to commit suicide.
