Yes, hypnotism is real enough although not everyone can be hypnotised. Even those that can don't always remember things from the past especially if they are trying to block them out.
There are many publications on the subject. I also think I saw once how you can recall things from the past without needing to be hypnotised.

Hypnotism is real and also a perfectly natural human state which we all go through many times of day believe it or not. I work as a HypnoTHERAPIST. Hypnotism exists, you have experienced it yourself. Whenever you have daydreamed or drifted off into your own thoughts when ddriving or watching a tv program... that is a hypnotic state. So when people warn you off it, they are often people with no experience or knowledge of it.

What you see on stage is totally different, when you are in a "trance" you still know the truth regardless of the suggestion. If you are on stage and are asked to bark like a dog, you know you are doing it, and you know it will raise a laugh. If the suggestion was to do it at your wedding, your subconscous mind would reject the notion and not allow you to do it coz you know it is wrong and inappropriate. So you cannot be made to do things against your will.

Hypnosis is NOT mind control.......HOWEVER, it can help you recall in astonishing details past events and and unlock memories and accordingly emotions. If you go down this route go with someone qualified whose accreditation you can check. If you drag up old emotions it is best to be around someone qualified to deal iwth this!

Even if you go and see someone, remember that it is not mind control and you can be aware at all times. Like a previous answerer stated, all hypnosis is self hypnosis. 100% correct.

Good luck

Yes, hypnotic suggestion is real, it can help you remember certain items that you have tried to suppress but the suggestion part is where the danger comes in. It can be used as a weapon rather than a tool to help people if the suggestion is implants false memories.

I never believed it until i was at Uni and someone who was painfully shy in my year decided to be hypnotised. This was for fun and not serious (was in the student's union). The poor guy was down on all fours barking like a dog at everyone and cocking his leg up on the bar etc. He would NEVER have done that under normal circumstances, so my mind was definately changed by what i saw. The poor guy was so embarassed though that he dropped out of the course. I don't know about being hypnotised for serious reasons, if it would work or not.

My ex boyfriend, when he was young he was a fatty, and got
teased alot. He got hypnotized and lost all his chubby weight.
The hypnotist told him that whenever he sees sweets or tastes
sweets it will taste like ****. No kidding. So he wouldn't even go
near it. It must work, but it is a mystery to me, it's a strange thing
If I had the chance to do it I would.

It is real. I think it is possible for some elements from dreams to be incorporated in what is revealed because that is also your subconcious, but don't quote me there- I'm no expert.

If you're going for therpay though make sure the therapist is properly trained in hypnotherapy first. It's serious and can bring painful emotions to the surface that will need to be dealt with professionally.

Hypnotism is very real. It can help you remember or forget your past.

However, not everyone can be hypnotized.

i'm holding on to the memories, yet i'm hopeful for tomorrows. spoonfuls of moments together, when everything's gone will it end just like that. a white plastic cup, almost licked clean, easily broken, not worth keeping. or will it be like a glass of everlasting well water.
