I wish to find the point on the earths' surface where one will travel with the highest velocity while standing perfectly still.

So far the best I've found is Cayembe, Equador at 5790 m, N 0° 01' 40", W 77° 59' 15"

The volcano Cotopaxi in Ecuador is at 0°40'S nearly on the Equator and has a height of 5,897 m.
So that would be the place to go to for your "high-speed-stand-still" -travel.
And by the way because the earth is not a perfect sphere but flattened a bit the peak of the Cotopaxi and not the peak of the Everest is the point on the earth's surface which has the greatest distance from the center of the earth.

Highest point on equator is located in Ecuador 4690m.high,77" 59'3" west on the southern slopes of Volcan cayanbe.

cool concept, what a thing to make into a tourist trap!
Borneo has a mountain at 9800ft it is a bit north of the equator but my globe shows one in Ecuador of 20561ft ( I am not sure how they measure to the last foot) it is just a bit south of the equator

and oh, by the way, I've climbed it.

I don't even have to eat food! I'm powered by my own sense of self satisfaction.

I suspect it would be somewhere in Ecuador, on the Andes.
