Being a good friend is a job, you have to love and care for another person unconditionally, you need to be there when he/she needs you, complement them, listen to there problems, give them the best advice you can think of, a real friend wouldn't judge his/her friend, look down on his/her friend, but overall a friend should care, friends aren't jealous of each other but happy for each other. Remember all those things and you will make a great friend.

always put the other person first, dont do or say anything that might hurt them and never lie.

give, even when it seems a little unfair.

sacrifice.

dont allow yourself to be ruled by emotions, it is possible to feel one way and act differently. imagine if you have a friend who desperately wants to be with someone thats very attractive, and you have a chance to hook up with that person.

or maybe you have a dispute over money that you really need

thats when you need to rule over your emotions, not the other way around
